2 DC Charging — Why 175 kW Beats the RWD 85 NMC · 175 kW peak

2,000 kg braked (at 12% gradient). That's the number that separates the 85x from the rest of the Enyaq lineup — the 60 and 85 RWD cap out at 1,200 kg. Spend enough time in the Enyaq forums and a pattern shows up. The same four cars cycle through nearly every "help me decide" thread: Tesla Model Y LR AWD, VW ID.4 Pro 4Motion, Hyundai Ioniq 5 LR AWD, Kia EV6 GT-Line AWD. I went through a lot of those threads. The bit that keeps sticking with me is how often someone had already mentally chosen, and then a single thing — not a spec, usually — flipped it back the other way.

The ID.4 4Motion wins on badge. That's not a small thing in certain contexts. That's ten minutes every time you stop — and if you're doing two stops on a 700 km day, it's twenty minutes. 4 Kia EV6 GT-Line AWD (2024–2025)

The lower roofline and wider stance make it look like it means something. A guy on Reddit who'd come out of a Golf GTI R said the EV6 GT-Line AWD was the only EV he drove where he didn't feel like he was accepting a compromise. He knew within ten minutes.
