2021: Global Launch
- Debut: The Audi e-tron GT was launched in early 2021. It is built on the same J1 performance platform as the Porsche Taycan, featuring an 800-volt architecture from its inception.
- Initial Models & Motors:
- e-tron GT quattro: Dual-motor AWD. Total system power: 350 kW (476 PS / 470 hp), with a boost mode of 390 kW (530 PS / 523 hp). Torque: 630 Nm (465 lb-ft).
- RS e-tron GT: Dual-motor AWD. Total system power: 440 kW (598 PS / 590 hp), with a boost mode of 475 kW (646 PS / 637 hp). Torque: 830 Nm (612 lb-ft).
- Battery & Range:
- Equipped with a gross battery capacity of 93.4 kWh, with a usable capacity of 83.7 kWh.
- WLTP-estimated range: up to 488 km (303 miles) for the GT quattro and 472 km (293 miles) for the RS e-tron GT.
- Charging: DC fast charging at up to 270 kW, allowing a charge from 10% to 80% in approximately 22.5 minutes.

2024: Major Technical & Performance Upgrade
- New Models: The lineup was expanded and renamed to include the S e-tron GT, RS e-tron GT, and the range-topping RS e-tron GT Performance.
- Key Technical Changes:
- Battery Technology: The battery pack was upgraded with new cell chemistry, making it lighter and more efficient. While the gross capacity remains 93.4 kWh, the usable capacity has been increased to 97 kWh.
- Increased Charging Speed: The 800-volt architecture now supports a peak DC charging rate of up to 320 kW, reducing charging time from 10% to 80% to approximately 18 minutes.
- Enhanced Range: The new battery and more efficient motors significantly improved the WLTP range, which now reaches up to 605 km (376 miles) for the S e-tron GT.
- Motor Upgrade: A new, more powerful rear-axle motor, shared with the Porsche Taycan, was introduced across the lineup.
- S e-tron GT: Total power of 500 kW (679 PS / 670 hp).
- RS e-tron GT: Total power of 630 kW (856 PS / 845 hp).
- RS e-tron GT Performance: Total power of 680 kW (925 PS / 912 hp), making it the most powerful Audi production car ever.
- Suspension: A new two-valve active suspension system was introduced, offering a wider range of settings for comfort and performance.
