2020: First Model Launch
- Versions: The market launch began with the rear-wheel drive (RWD) ID.4 Pro.
- Motor: It was equipped with the APP310 motor on the rear axle, providing 150 kW (204 hp) of power and 310 Nm of torque.
- Battery: The ID.4 Pro featured a 77 kWh (usable capacity) battery, offering a WLTP range of up to 520 km.
- Charging: It supported a DC fast charging power of up to 125 kW.
2021: Introduction of AWD and GTX Performance
- Motors: All-wheel-drive versions were introduced, including the ID.4 GTX and ID.4 Pro 4Motion. They featured a second motor on the front axle, increasing the combined system output to 220 kW (299 hp) for the GTX.
- Performance: The ID.4 GTX could accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 6.2 seconds.
- Battery: Both AWD versions used the same 77 kWh battery pack.
2022: New Entry-Level Model
- Versions: A more affordable, rear-wheel-drive version, the ID.4 Pure, was launched.
