  • Battery & Versions: The ID.3 was introduced with three battery options: a 45 kWh (Pure), a 58 kWh (Pro), and a 77 kWh (Pro S) usable capacity.
  • Range: The official WLTP range varied from 349 km (217 miles) for the Pure to 549 km (341 miles) for the Pro S version.
  • Charging: Maximum DC fast charging speeds were 100 kW for the 58 kWh battery and 125 kW for the 77 kWh battery.

2021: Software & Charging Upgrades

  • Software: A major software update improved the charging performance and allowed for features like Plug & Charge.
  • Charging Speed: The maximum DC charging rate for the 58 kWh battery was increased to 120 kW.
  • Efficiency: Continuous software optimizations led to small but noticeable improvements in energy consumption.

2023: Mid-Cycle Refresh

  • Exterior: While the design received a subtle facelift, the main focus was on efficiency.
  • Charging: The maximum DC fast charging speed for the 58 kWh battery was further increased to 170 kW, significantly reducing charging times.
