Generation I (2021: Production Start & Dream Edition)

  • Models & Motors: Launched with two limited-production “Dream Edition” versions.
    • Air Dream Edition Performance: Dual-motor (AWD) with 1,111 hp (828 kW) and 1,025 lb-ft (1,390 Nm) of torque.
    • Air Dream Edition Range: Dual-motor (AWD) with 933 hp (696 kW) and 1,025 lb-ft (1,390 Nm).
    • Grand Touring model introduced shortly after with 819 hp (611 kW).
  • Battery & Range:
    • Featured a massive 118 kWh battery pack (112 kWh usable).
    • The Dream Edition Range achieved a landmark EPA-estimated range of 520 miles (837 km), becoming the longest-range EV available.
  • Charging: Built on a 900V+ architecture, allowing for DC fast charging speeds up to 300 kW.
  • Key Features: Introduced the expansive “Glass Canopy” roof, a 34-inch 5K floating screen, and the DreamDrive Pro advanced driver-assistance system.

2022: Lineup Expansion

  • New Models & Motors: The lineup was broadened to include more accessible trims.
    • Air Grand Touring: Became widely available with 819 hp (611 kW).
    • Air Touring: Introduced with a dual-motor (AWD) setup producing 620 hp (462 kW).

2023: The Arrival of a Super-Sedan

  • New Models & Motors: The performance benchmark was redefined with a new flagship.
    • Air Sapphire: A tri-motor (AWD) “megacar” was launched, producing an astounding 1,234 hp (920 kW) and 1,430 lb-ft (1,939 Nm) of torque, enabling a 0-60 mph time of under 2 seconds.
    • Air Pure AWD: A dual-motor version of the base model was introduced.
  • Features: The “Stealth Look” trim package, which replaced chrome accents with dark satin finishes, became available for all models.
  • Efficiency: Software updates continued to refine efficiency and driving dynamics across the lineup.

2024-2025: Simplification & Tech Upgrades

  • Models & Motors: The lineup was simplified. The Grand Touring’s power was increased to 819 hp (611 kW) as standard. The base Pure model now comes as RWD with 430 hp (321 kW).
  • Battery & Range: The Air Grand Touring was updated and its range was re-certified at 516 miles (830 km), solidifying its position as a range leader.
  • Charging: All models now feature a new heat pump and improved battery conditioning software, enhancing DC fast charging speeds and cold-weather performance.
  • Interior: New interior material options and color palettes were introduced to expand customization choices.
