First Generation (2024–Present)
2024: Global Launch on the New PPE Platform
- Debut: The Audi Q6 Sportback e-tron, the “coupé SUV” variant of the Q6 e-tron, was announced in March 2024. It is also built on the new Premium Platform Electric (PPE).
- Initial Models & Motors:
- Q6 Sportback e-tron quattro: Dual-motor AWD. Total system power: 285 kW (387 PS / 382 hp).
- SQ6 Sportback e-tron: Dual-motor AWD. Total system power: 380 kW (517 PS / 510 hp) in boost mode.
- Battery & Range:
- The Sportback variant uses the same battery as the standard Q6 e-tron, with a gross capacity of 100 kWh and a usable capacity of 94.9 kWh.
- Due to its improved aerodynamics, the WLTP-estimated range is slightly higher: up to 639 km (397 miles) for the Q6 Sportback e-tron.
- Charging: The 800-volt architecture enables a peak DC fast charging rate of up to 270 kW, allowing a 10% to 80% charge in approximately 21 minutes.
- Aerodynamics: The sleek roofline reduces the drag coefficient (Cd) to 0.26, an improvement over the standard Q6 e-tron’s Cd of 0.28.
Future Variants
Future: Single-Motor Rear-Wheel-Drive Model
- Planned Model: Audi has confirmed that a rear-wheel-drive (RWD) variant will be added to the lineup. This model is expected to feature a single, powerful rear electric motor.
- Battery & Range: This RWD version will be equipped with a smaller, lighter 83 kWh battery pack. Due to increased efficiency, it is expected to have an even greater WLTP range than the quattro models.
