2024: Global Launch on the PPE Platform

  • Debut: The Audi A6 Avant e-tron, the all-electric estate variant of the A6 e-tron family, entered production in September 2024. It is the second model built on the Premium Platform Electric (PPE), combining long-range capability with the practicality of the Avant body style.
  • Initial Models & Motors:
    • A6 Avant e-tron quattro: Dual-motor AWD. Total system power: 240 kW (322 hp) and 435 Nm torque.
    • S/A6 Avant e-tron performance variants: Higher-output dual-motor AWD versions are planned, with power outputs exceeding 350 kW in boost mode.
  • Battery & Range:
    • Equipped with an 83 kWh gross (75.8 kWh usable) lithium-ion battery pack in the initial quattro version.
    • WLTP-estimated range: up to 540 km (335 miles) depending on wheel size and trim; real-world mild-weather range up to 415 miles in city driving.
  • Charging: 800‑volt architecture supports DC fast charging up to 225 kW, enabling a 10%–80% charge in approximately 22 minutes. AC charging at up to 11 kW is standard.
  • Aerodynamics: Avant body achieves a drag coefficient (Cd) of 0.24, placing it among the most aerodynamic estate cars in its segment.
