  • New rear motor (APP550): Redeveloped PSM on the rear axle delivers higher efficiency and more power, replacing the prior unit in RWD and supporting AWD configurations.
  • Faster DC charging: Large-battery models increased peak DC to 135 kW with a more stable charging curve.
  • Suspension & refinement: Retuned chassis (“Audi DNA”) improves response and comfort; enhanced standard equipment and assist packages; characteristic Audi EV sound profile.

2024: Flagship and charging uplift

  • Q4 55 quattro: New top model with 250 kW (340 PS) and 679 Nm, 0–100 km/h in 5.4 s, positioned above earlier AWD variants.
  • DC fast charging: Peak raised to 175 kW on large-battery variants, cutting typical fast-charge times further.
  • Powertrain sourcing: The APP550 drive unit is produced by Volkswagen Group Components in Kassel, Germany.

2025: Market-specific variant and ongoing enhancements

  • EU-specific Q4 40 variant: A European configuration with a 63 kWh gross (~59 kWh usable) battery and 150 kW (204 PS) motor, WLTP up to 423 km (263 mi).
