2021: Market Launch and Initial Versions

  • Overview: The ID.6, a China-exclusive 3-row electric SUV, was launched in 2021. It is offered in two variants by different joint ventures: the ID.6 CROZZ (by FAW-VW) and the ID.6 X (by SAIC-VW).
  • Motor: The RWD versions are equipped with a single rear-axle motor providing 150 kW (204 hp) of power and 310 Nm of torque. The AWD version adds a front motor for a combined output of 230 kW (313 hp).
  • Battery: The ID.6 is available with two battery sizes: 62 kWh and 84.8 kWh (gross capacity). Usable capacities are approximately 58 kWh and 77 kWh, respectively.

Powertrain and Battery Details

  • Range: The official NEDC range is up to 439 km for the 62 kWh battery and up to 588 km for the 84.8 kWh battery.
  • Performance: The most powerful AWD version accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in approximately 6.6 seconds.
  • Charging: The vehicle supports DC fast charging, with the 84.8 kWh battery capable of charging from 30% to 80% in around 40 minutes.
