Mercedes-Benz HYC1000 ultra-fast charging system

Mercedes-Benz is setting new standards in public charging by integrating Alpitronic’s HYC1000 system into its own fast-charging network. Starting in 2026, new hubs in Europe and North America will feature modular units delivering up to 600 kW per charging point.

🚀 Next-level charging performance

The HYC1000 introduces a decentralized architecture with an external power unit capable of 1,000 kW at 800 A. Smart load management distributes energy across multiple points, ensuring efficiency and scalability. A single charging point can deliver 600 kW at 800 V, enabling extremely short sessions — for example, adding 325 km WLTP range to the CLA in just 10 minutes.

⚡ Key innovations

  • High-performance development — insights from the AMG GT XX concept with ~1 MW charging inform a new dedicated fast charger.
  • MB.OS integration — route planning, payment, and automatic reservation of charging points via MB.CHARGE Public.
  • Open access — hubs are available to all EV brands, with exclusive benefits for Mercedes drivers.
